BAM Nuttall<\/a> has been appointed to deliver the detailed design and advance work on the \u00a3118m Cross Tay Link Road project<\/h2>\n

The Cross Tay Link Road is one of the largest infrastructure projects ever undertaken by Perth & Kinross Council<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The new road will unlock key development land and direct unnecessary traffic away from the city centre, creating a better experience for visitors and local drivers.<\/p>\n

BAM Nuttall has been appointed to stage one of the project which is expected to last up to one year \u2013 with stage two (construction) due to start afterwards.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s submission included an extensive package of community benefits, a pledge to pay all employees working on the project at least the Real Living Wage, and a significant reduction in the carbon footprint<\/a> of the scheme.<\/p>\n

\u2018A significant step forward\u2019<\/h3>\n

Councillor Murray Lyle, leader of Perth & Kinross Council, said: “The appointment of BAM Nuttall for stage one of the Cross Tay Link Road is a significant step forward in the development of this major infrastructure project for Perth and Kinross.<\/p>\n

“BAM Nuttall has a proven track record of successful major infrastructure projects<\/a> across the UK and beyond and I’m confident that the detailed design they create will allow us to meet our key goals for the Cross Tay Link Road enable new, planned and committed developments identified in the Local Development Plan; enable city centre improvements through the reduction in traffic volumes; and reduce journey times for local traffic.”<\/p>\n
