{"id":99795,"date":"2021-09-29T11:37:08","date_gmt":"2021-09-29T10:37:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=99795"},"modified":"2021-09-29T16:19:03","modified_gmt":"2021-09-29T15:19:03","slug":"social-supply-chain-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/social-supply-chain-platform\/99795\/","title":{"rendered":"SCAPE launches new social supply chain platform"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scape.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SCAPE<\/a> has launched The Social Partnership Portal, a website connecting buyers and suppliers that aims to drive social value across public sector procurement<\/h2>\n<p>The new digital platform will enable industry buyers to easily source and engage with an extensive network of socially focused and accredited suppliers.<\/p>\n<p>Designed to support organisations focused on social and environmental outcomes, the initiative will provide improved access to contractors working across SCAPE\u2019s suite of next-generation construction and consultancy frameworks, the <a href=\"https:\/\/scfframeworks.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Southern Construction Framework<\/a> (SCF) and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>SCAPE\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/next-generation-frameworks\/98116\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">net zero-ready frameworks<\/a> are used by more than 1,200 public bodies and cumulatively represent \u00a318bn in buying power.<\/p>\n<p>The Social Partnership Portal is supported by a visionary group of founding members comprising 25 leading UK contractors, framework operators SCAPE and SCF, and key industry stakeholders Constructionline and SMAS, with the site endorsed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialenterprise.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Social Enterprise UK<\/a> (SEUK).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/social-value-economic-recovery\/86335\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Social value<\/a> is a key principle of the UK government\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/construction-playbook-design\/95937\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Construction Playbook<\/a> \u2013 published last year to shape best practices in public sector construction.<\/p>\n<p>Reputable social suppliers registered on The Social Partnership Portal will be accredited with Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum status depending on their social enterprise credentials.
