Inland Homes<\/a> has been given the go-ahead for plans to deliver its \u00a3200m Gardiners Park Village in Basildon, following the signing of a Section 106 agreement<\/h2>\n

The consent for Gardiners Park Village follows the resolution to grant planning permission received for the site, subject to the signing of a Section 106 agreement, announced in May 2021.<\/p>\n

The planning permission enables the delivery of\u00a0up to 700 new homes, together with 25,000 sqm of commercial space<\/a>, new school and community facilities.<\/p>\n

The estimated gross development value of the 54-acre site is in excess of \u00a3200m.<\/p>\n

Gardiners Park Village will deliver 31% affordable housing and is being provided through a public\/private partnership approach with Homes England<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Inland Homes signed a development agreement with Homes England, which has a majority interest in the site, in April 2020 and will acquire the land in phases over a five-year period.<\/p>\n

Chief executive of Inland Homes, Stephen Wicks, added: “Inland Homes has once again demonstrated its skill and tenacity in securing planning consent on complex challenging sites to deliver the much-needed homes England needs.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe granting of this planning consent at Gardiners Park Village means we can now begin to transform what has been a vacant, brownfield site<\/a> for the past 40 years, into a thriving new community with 700 homes, of which nearly one third will be delivered as affordable.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe look forward to continuing to work with Homes England in the delivery of this important scheme.”<\/p>\n

Construction of the first phase with detailed planning consent, comprising 74 homes, is expected to commence in early 2022.<\/p>\n
