In our cover story, Philip Dunne MP, chair of the Environmental Audit Committee, argues that the UK needs a national mobilisation \u201cwar effort\u201d to improve energy efficiency and sustainability, while tackling our dependency on fossil fuels.<\/p>\n

Claire Fallows, a partner at international law firm Charles Russell Speechlys, argues that the government\u2019s move to downgrade housebuilding targets<\/a> to \u201cadvisory\u201d is a bold move in the housing crisis that could come with a heavy cost.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Mick Hansford of the Institution of Civil Engineers looks at the key issues for infrastructure in 2023, Dr Mike Pitts reflects on the first year of the Construction Leadership Council\u2019s Construct Zero programme<\/a>, and Steve Hodgson of the Property Care Association calls for a science-based approach to tackling damp in homes.<\/a><\/p>\n
