Welcome to BIM Today June 2025. In this edition, we explore the complex integration of Building Information Modelling and smart building technologies, Digital Catapult’s BridgeAI, which is supporting startups in bringing AI-powered innovation to construction, and the BRE’s work on the Innovate UK BuildAudIt project<\/h2>\n

In our cover story, John Clarke of the Digital Buildings Council<\/a> discusses the BIM to Smart initiative, which aims to close the chasm between BIM and smart building technology.<\/p>\n

Hema Ramamoorthy, data and AI lead at Digital Catapult<\/a>, looks at the progress of the BridgeAI programme, which is supporting startups to refine and develop scalable solutions for the construction sector.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Joe Forde, research lead at the BRE<\/a> and consortium member of the Innovate UK BuildAudIt project, unveils the results of its year-long development and what it means for the built environment.<\/p>\n

We also hear from Robyn Francis of the Smart Cities Council<\/a>, who discusses the recent Smart Cities Summit North America in San Francisco, which explored how technology can deliver meaningful impact for people and place.<\/p>\n
