Established in 2005, Allen Archaeology Ltd is an independent, professional commercial archaeological contractor and consultancy. From initial project design, through to final mitigation and reporting, we always provide the correct solution within agreed timescales and budgets. With offices in Lincoln, Birmingham, Cambridge and Southampton, we provide a full range of archaeological services on a national basis. Our key aim, from initial consultation to the fulfilling of archaeological planning conditions, is to provide a cost effective, risk-free and time efficient service for our clients.

  Looking for advice prior to a planning application or to discharge a planning condition? We can rapidly deploy experienced staff for survey, evaluation, excavation and archaeological monitoring.

• Geophysics

  Our dedicated survey team undertake, report on and interpret geophysical and metal detector surveys for linear schemes and residential and commercial developments of all sizes.

• Heritage research

  Research and report writing services, from building recording and survey, to producing desk based heritage impact assessments and providing contributions to environmental impact assessments.

• Digital imaging

  We carry out high quality finds photography, Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI), 3D photogrammetry and Structure from Motion (SfM) and data analysis using Geographical Information Systems (GIS).

• Specialist services

  Our in-house specialists assess, analyse and advise on a range of artefacts, lithics and human remains.
