This PBC Today webinar, hosted by the Modular Building Institute, will explore the key challenges and opportunities for the modular sector in Europe, as well as how the principles of volumetric modular construction align with circularity strategies, which aim to cut energy use, material consumption and waste, ultimately reducing negative environmental impact.

Tom Hardiman CAE, executive director of the Modular Building Institute, will be joined on the panel by Bostjan Jevsek, international business development director of PivaGroup and Ewelina Woźniak-Szpakiewicz, chief executive officer of DMDmodular.

Founded in 1983, the Modular Building Institute is the international non-profit trade association representing manufacturers, contractors and dealers in the modular construction industry.

    Bostjan serves on Modular Building Institute’s board of directors and is the European Council’s Chairman. Bostjan has more than 15 years of experience in the modular industry and has worked in international management for over 30 years.

    Ewelina Woźniak-Szpakiewicz

    Ewelina Wozniak-Szpakiewicz is the Chief Executive Officer at DMDmodular, an award-winning company focusing on housing, PRS and hospitality industries, delivering unique volumetric modular solutions to international markets.

    Ewelina is honored to be the Vice-Chair of the European Council of MBI. She is also a leader of the R&D Consortium that has been selected for implementation of a multifamily, energy-efficient modular building within the EU funds.

    With a PhD in Technical Sciences, she is part of the Cracow University of Technology while also collaborating at numerous universities in Germany, Brazil and China.

    Tom Hardiman, CAE

    Executive Director, Modular Building Institute (MBI)

    Tom Hardiman, CAE, has been the Executive Director of the Modular Building Institute since January 2004 and manages the governance of the organization.

    He has been a registered lobbyist at the federal level with the US Congress as well as at the state level in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. Hardiman has also led grassroots advocacy efforts in 20 other states.
