SFS NVELOPE Rainscreen Subframe

Building envelope specialist SFS traces its roots back over 120 years and today, the company’s construction division is the world’s largest manufacturer and distributor of carbon and stainless steel fastening solutions for roofing, cladding and façade systems

This SFS NVELOPE Capability brochure is designed to help you find the right rainscreen solution, from finding the best NVELOPE subframe system for your decorative panel type and the right bracket for the situation to the getting the right profile and cutting service options, level one, two and three fixings, along with any accessories you need.

It looks at the latest additions to the range, including the new SFS Cavity Fire Barrier system the Thermal Solutions range of subframe brackets, which help to minimise the effect of cold bridging within a ventilated rainscreen.

SFS also offers a range of useful tools to provide additional design support through the free to access ConnectSuite, which includes Project Builder, Thermal Builder, Drawing Overlay Service, Cutting Service and Specification. The tools can be accessed through the SFS website.

Project Builder

Project Builder allows users to submit their rainscreen project requirements, such as local wind loads, building height, primary substrate being fixed to, selected cladding material and the chosen cladding zone. All NVELOPE systems can be engineered to project-specific requirements using Project Builder.

Thermal Builder

Thermal Builder takes project details and creates specific thermal calculations, with 3D modelling of each bracket variant to find each point loss Chi value. This service is able to dynamically calculate the required insulation depth to achieve the target U-value.

When it comes to digital construction and specification, SFS can offer structured product data, BIM models and 2D and 3D geometry models for use with your system designs.

Furthermore, SFS has a dedicated specification team to provide guidance on how different systems will perform within the building envelope to ensure the relevant building standards are met.

To support, SFS offers RIBA-accredited CPD seminars, bespoke system presentations, specification writing, review of project requirements and engagement with associated OEMs.

SFS NVELOPE Rainscreen Subframe Systems have been British Board of Agrement-certified for over a decade and were the first UK system to achieve this quality assurance.
