ESS Modular has pre-qualified in the ‘modern methods of construction category’ which will allow the company to be selected to build modular residential homes, using a precision manufacturing method.

Paul Tierney, managing director at ESS Modular, said: “We are delighted to have been selected for inclusion on this framework which will deliver 11,000 new homes in London by 2024.

“The significant time savings and quality-controlled manufacturing which our modular construction approach offers is ideal for an ambitious programme such as this and we look forward to playing our part in its delivery.”

Stephen McMorris, director of development and sales at Hyde, added: “I am delighted that we have launched this main contractor framework which is also open to all other public sector organisations. We went through a stringent process of appointing partners who have each demonstrated a commitment to providing quality services, delivering value for money and working collaboratively.

“We look forward to working more closely with our partners who will help us achieve our ambition of building as many homes as we can across London and the south-east.”
