Every FSi Promat product is third-party certified and tested to international standards, backed by our ongoing commitment to competence and compliance.

Our core range of products has been assessed under the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) – reinforcing our dedication to providing clear, accurate, and evidence-based product information. The code reflects our values of transparency, integrity, and accountability, ensuring customers can have confidence in the information we provide.

Known for the quality of our technical support, we ensure that competency is central to everything we do – giving customers confidence in both our products and our service.

All key members of our team are qualified to, or working towards, IFE Level 2 or above. This includes our technical department, which plays a critical role in product development and testing, as well as key sales and business development representatives.

With extensive experience, our team understands what’s needed to help protect buildings from fire risk over their lifespan – which is why senior members are always directly involved in key decision-making.

Testing, guidance, and technical support

To support the correct application of fire stopping, we carryout extensive testing to cover as many installation scenarios as possible. Where a tested solution doesn’t yet exist, we provide guidance and technical evaluations to advise on product suitability.

Our manufacturing capability gives us the flexibility to respond to the industry’s rapidly evolving requirements – while continuing to innovate for a sustainable future.

We work closely with customers to create new solutions to real-world applications, continually increasing the scope and performance of our systems.

With deliveries fulfilled by an in-house distribution team based in Essex, Firesafe & Sound Ltd (FSS), we offer next-day delivery across the UK, ensuring our products reach the site when they’re needed.

Company background

FSi and Promat are divisions of the global Etex Group. Established in 1958, Promat is globally recognised for technical expertise in passive fire protection, whilst FSi brings over 23 years of specialist knowledge in fire stopping products.

Together, our 88 years of combined expertise ensure customers have access to a comprehensive range of fire stopping solutions, backed by a deep technical insight and experience. We continually strive to deliver the highest quality products and services in fire safety.

Manufactured, tested, and certified to global standards

FSi Promat systems are manufactured, tested and certified to globally recognised standards including UKCA, CE, UL, FM, AS, ASTM and ISO for fire performance.

Many of our products are tested to support air permeability, movement, water permeability, thermal conductivity, VOC content, and acoustic isolation. Our experienced technical team is available to provide support and training in all areas.
