Since 2011, BIM Show Live has examined emerging technologies and how these can benefit the construction industry, and 2018 will be no different where it will explore developments over the past 12 months and look forward to emerging trends which will drive and secure the continual digitisation of the construction industry and a Digital Built Britain.

Commenting on BIM Show Live 2018 David said:
“I’ve always enjoyed being part of this event, and it’ll be great to return once again to disseminate the latest in our drive toward digitisation, and the Digital Built Britain programme.
“BIM Show Live provides the perfect platform for the adventurous disruptors amongst us, and I’m sure it’ll deliver informative and interesting discussions yet again”.
“Last year’s BIM Show Live was an inspiring event, full of future-thinkers and passion for our industry’s growth, so I’m keen to be a part of that again.
“As we move on with a greater understanding of what innovation can achieve, it’s important that we have this content-driven event where professionals can share their knowledge and shape the industry’s change agenda.”
For 2018, BIM Show Live will once again be staged in Newcastle’s Boiler Shop, Stephenson’s Quarter – on Wednesday 28 February and Thursday 1 March, with the new BIM Awards taking place on the evening of Tuesday 27 February.
Another new element for 2018 will be the ‘Inspiration Day’. This unique event will take place on the morning of Tuesday 27 February at the Boiler Shop and aims to demonstrate, with the help of colleges and universities in the North East, the opportunities available in the built environment sector to school pupils.
This event will inspire the younger generation in the area to view the industry in a whole new light.
“Our industry is progressing at an accelerated rate, and at BIM Show Live we believe we must bring our visitors the very best our industry has to offer for technology and digital construction, plus what has changed year-on-year and what this means for future projects.
“What makes this year extra special is our BIM Awards. We know there is amazing work being carried out in the digital built environment both in the UK and globally, and we want to reward that talent, innovation, determination and tenacity.”
