BIM4Water appoints a new vice-chair

BIM4Water announced that Clare Kovacs (national rehearsal lead and MWH treatment) has been elected to join the BIM4Water steering group as vice-chair

The BIM4Water Steering Group welcome Clare and look forward to working with her to continue their efforts ‘to lead the digital transformation of the water sector through better information management’.

Clare has previously chaired the BIM4Water 4D Task Group making significant impacts driving digital rehearsal for capital deliver on UK Water Industry projects.

Clare will support and shadow the current chair until June 2022 when she will take over the reins as chair of BIM4Water. Clare will join the steering group with immediate effect.

Reinvigorate and drive collaborative partnerships

BIM4Water chair, Jamie Mills (Global BIM manager, Xylem Inc), said:  “I’m delighted that Clare is joining the steering group as vice-chair.

“Clare has proven her skills and dedication to BIM4Water in her running of the 4D Task Group since its conception in 2018. I look forward to working with Clare, and ultimately handing over the stewardship of our great organisation.”

Clare Kovacs said: “I am honoured to be joining the BIM4Water steering group.

“I am keen to encourage more diverse attendance and participation at events and within the Task Groups. Ensuring we engage at all levels, reaching out to academia and join forces with other BIM Alliance groups.

“My aims for the future would be to continue to develop relations with UK BIM Alliance and CDBB, reinvigorate and drive collaborative partnerships with other BIM groups and ensure the BIM4Water Owner Operator group are brought closer and are more accountable.

“My aim is to drive more actionable outputs from all groups going forward. I want to bring this drive to the water sector and get BIM implemented in the industry.”
