Guy Grainger appointed as BPF president

Guy Grainger, the current global head of sustainability services & ESG at JLL has been appointed as the president of the British Property Federation (BPF)

Guy Grainger has taken over David Partridge who has served as BPF president since July 2020.

By working closely with Melanie Leech, the chief executive, Guy Grainer will champion the role of real estate by delivering strong, resilient and productive communities nationwide and meeting ambitious targets to reduce carbon.

‘An unprecedented opportunity to work with other bodies’

Guy Grainger has made the following comments:

“I look forward to working with Vice President Mark Allan, Melanie and the wider BPF team at a time when we are facing the greatest pipeline of policy change affecting the real estate industry.

“Amongst other things, my role at JLL gives the BPF an unprecedented opportunity to work with other bodies to support the drive to net zero carbon across the built environment – the most important and significant challenge facing us.

“I’d like to thank David Partridge on behalf of the Board and the membership for his leadership, most of which was during the pandemic.”

David Partridge, Immediate Past-President, British Property Federation, comments:

“It has been a privilege to lead the BPF over the last 18 months during an unprecedented period for all of us.

“I have worked closely with Guy during that period as part of the BPF’s Presidential team and I know the BPF will benefit from his strong leadership and passion for creating social value during his Presidency.
