Construction is the process of constructing a building or infrastructure. The sector as a whole comprises 6-9% of the gross domestic product (GDP) of developed countries.

The process commences with planning, design and financing; this continues until the project is complete and ready for use/occupation.

Projects on the larger-scale require collaboration across the supply chain – the project manager, design engineer, or architect supervises this. Those included in the design and execution stage must take into consideration the environmental impact of the job, zoning requirements, time-scales, budgeting, site safety, and building materials.

Below we offer a collection of features and daily news about the world of construction.
