Robert Jenrick has been sacked from his position as housing secretary in prime minister Boris Johnson’s latest cabinet reshuffle

Robert Jenrick was appointed to the position of housing secretary in 2019, where he surpassed James Brokenshire, who left the ministry after more than a year in the role.

In a recent tweet, Jenrick said: “It’s been a huge privilege to serve as secretary of state @mhclg.

“Thank you to everyone at the department for their hard work, dedication and friendship. I’m deeply proud of all we achieved. I will continue to support the prime minister and the Government in every way I can.”

Who will replace Robert has not yet been announced.
