Hire Association Europe’s Hire Awards of Excellence 2017 have named Seddons Plant & Engineering as construction Supplier of the Year

Good news for Seddons Plant & Engineering as the firm was named construction Supplier of the Year.

The title was bestowed upon the company by Hire Association Europe during the Hire Awards of Excellence, hosted at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

The awards, which are independently judged by experts from the industry, recognise firms for their outstanding contribution to the hire sector.

High level of service

Seddons Plant & Engineers Ltd was launched in 1951. The firm is one of the UK’s leading distributors and manufacturers of equipment for plant and tool hire, construction, civil engineering, utilities and groundcare. The company supplies equipment, parts and engines from globally recognised manufacturers including Honda, Stihl, Volvo, Pramac, SDMO and Winget. It has eight branches nationwide and is headquartered in Bolton, Lancashire.

Speaking of the award, Seddons Plant & Engineers’ managing director Stephen Seddon said: “The whole team is extremely proud of this award, as it reflects the exceptionally high level of service we provide to our customers.

“We supply construction equipment, replacement parts and workshop services to many of the UK’s national plant hirers, as well as many smaller operators, so it is fantastic to be recognised as the exemplary supplier in the industry.”

Supplier of the Year award was open to firms that supply stock, equipment or provide services to the sector. Those that made the shortlist were found to have achieved commercial success through the adoption of company values by all employees, as well as developing staff, creating supportive workplaces, and ensuring a sustainable approach to business.

HAE, which represents around 900 plant, tool and equipment hire firms across the UK, Europe and globally, saw a record number of entries for this year’s award ceremony.
