Morgan Sindall has released drone footage showcasing the recent progress made on the new Summerdown SEN School, Eastbourne
Morgan Sindall, working in conjunction with Dfe, Aecom and Southfield Trust, has made significant progress on the new Summerdown SEN School in Eastbourne.
Construction will take place over a period of 72 weeks and is due to be complete by Autumn 2022.
Summerdown will be an ‘all-through’ Special Educational Needs school for ages 5-16 years.
The school will be fitted with specialist equipment
The £16m project will provide 135 places for pupils with Autism, as well as those with profound and multiple learning disabilities and medical needs.
The school will be equipped with the latest specialist equipment including:
- Hydrotherapy pool
- Soft play and sensory rooms
- Specialist external and play equipment including wheelchair accessible swings, climbing frames and trampolines
