Mace has secured a place on Transport for London‘s (TfL) professional services framework, to create a higher quality of services

Mace has secured places on the framework’s four most significant lots, including programme and portfolio management, programme office and project controls, risk and opportunity management, construction and project management.

The purpose of TfL’s professional services framework is to create higher quality services provision, reduced costs and greater value for money.

Mace has recently secured a role on Transport for the North’s Northern Powerhouse Rail programme to lead its Programme Support Office, playing a key role in the evolution of the UK’s rail infrastructure.

The Northern Powerhouse Rail appointment now means Mace is responsible for project controls, project management, stakeholder management and commercial support.

Working towards a better transport system

Sean Gray, director for transportation at Mace, said: “We are pleased to have secured roles on TfL’s professional services framework, supporting the improvement of the capital’s transport system.

“In light of the current crisis, connectivity and better transport will be vital in strengthening London’s recovery and we are proud to be part of the solution. This is a testament to Mace’s consultancy capabilities in the transport sector, with our teams being able to contribute to the delivery of major rail programmes both in the capital as well as the UK’s regions.”

The framework started on 2 June 2020 for a three-year period expiring on the 1 June 2023.

The authority may extend the framework for up to a further 12 months for a total of four years.
