This year there will be four content stages covering market trends, technical excellence, customer experience, competence and Future Homes Standard delivery.
The four stages include:
- The Horizon Stage: Explore the key trends shaping UK home building, from market performance, affordability and viability challenges to tri-tenure delivery and the £39bn Social & Affordable Homes Programme.
- The Focus Stage: Visit this stage for the latest information on quality and technical standards. Drawing on insights from more than a million site inspections each year, NHBC experts will share practical guidance to help tackle common defects, improve performance and help get it right first time.
- The Evolve Stage: This stage considers two critical priorities for today’s home-building industry. The morning session will focus on consumer insights, customer care and homeowner expectations. In the afternoon, attention turns to industry competence, examining the skills, standards and professional requirements now required through the whole development lifecycle.
- The Activate Stage: With the Future Homes Standard now defined, the focus turns to implementation at scale. In partnership with the Future Homes Hub, this stage focuses on the practical implementation of low-carbon homes, covering fabric design and construction, heat pumps, solar PV, ventilation, SAP 10.3 and the lessons emerging from projects already putting policy into practice.
Future Home Explorer
Future Home Explorer is an innovative new feature offering an engaging, self-guided journey through a contemporary ‘home’, showcasing the latest low-carbon technologies.
A Bellway Homes timber-frame house model will demonstrate external heat pump installation, associated services, pipework and water cylinder connection, underfloor heating, decentralised mechanical extract ventilation and fire-stopping and insulation. Delegates can learn more about the practical issues around installation, with experts on hand to answer any questions.
In addition, Smartoof will demonstrate their smartPUC system as a potential solution for modern technologies in future homes.
The Connections Hub
Also new for 2027, the Connections Hub is here to make networking easier. Ahead of the event, attendees will be able to book a one-hour slot in this dedicated, quieter area to catch up in comfort with contacts old and new.
