First Actis CPD on Part L announced for LABC's East Midlands virtual roadshow

The virtual Part L CPD event, from Actis and LABC’s other partners, will take place on Wednesday 24 January between noon and 2pm

The LABC’s first technical roadshow of 2024 will see insulation specialist Actis sharing part of its RIBA-approved Tomorrow’s Insulation Solutions for Future Homes Standards CPD.

The Actis CPD covers part L and will be presented by one of the Actis regional specification team at the monthly seminar, which also includes input from LABC’s other CPD partners.

The session will focus on meeting building regulations and warranty defects

Each speaker will each offer insight into a specific technical issue and a proposed solution designed to educate and inform and is worth two hours of CPD training.

Actis’ contribution will focus on insulation to meet the new tighter Building Regulations Part L requirements, while other experts will talk on issues such as warranty defects.

The virtual event, for builders, specifiers, architects and building control officers across the East Midlands, will take place on Wednesday January 24 between noon and 2pm. You can reserve your spot here.

This is the sixth year in a row in which Actis is working with LABC as a CPD partner.

Speaking last year when Actis and LABC renewed their partnership, Actis UK and Ireland sales director Mark Cooper said: “We’ve been running CPD training at LABC technical seminars since 2018 and we’re delighted to continue to support the construction community in this way.

“The sessions, which cover a range of topics, are always informative and interesting. Working as a CPD partner means we can offer valuable advice which will help builders and specifiers comply with building regulations as we move towards net zero.”

Over a thousand delegates attended the sessions last year.
