In the run-up to the first-ever Building Innovation Awards, PBC Today gives you a preview of the nominees for the Best Recruitment Innovation
The Best Recruitment Innovation focuses on a key area for the industry: finding, attracting and retaining the best people.
The award will recognise innovative products that streamline workforce management, from researching candidates to shortlisting, interviews and onboarding new employees.

ARV Solutions is a market-leading recruiter in offsite/MMC. There is a highly collaborative culture and a clear approach to adding real value. Repeat business levels are excellent, while constantly developing new clients, resulting in high growth and potential for further scale-up. Their approach to attracting clients and candidates as their trusted advisers and thought leaders is unique in offsite construction/MMC.
Buildy is a smart marketplace that allows construction companies to hire tradesmen for works on construction sites. In just a few clicks, construction companies can hire tradespeople with their skills fully verified before they step foot on site. The hiring process can then be managed through the integrated timesheet and invoicing system.
Over the last three years the City of Glasgow College has developed Construction Manager, an educational game designed to encourage young people to consider a career within the construction industry. Funded by the CITB and supported by Construction Scotland, the Scottish Contractors Group and the Construction Scotland Innovation Centre, the game aims to increase awareness of careers and business practices in the industry. Since its launch in October 2018, there have been over 100,000 impressions.
