Interserve UK construction MD to leave in restructure shake-up

2043

Interserve is restructuring its construction operations by merging its UK and International divisions as part of its continuing efforts to cut costs and increase efficiency

After two years of being UK construction managing director, Gordon Kew will leave Interserve at the end of September.

George Franks, who has run the international division since 2008 and has been with the company for 34 years, will head the newly merged division.

Interserve’s international facilities management business is also joining its UK support services division.

Chief executive Debbie White said: “These changes support our vision for a simpler, more efficient and more effective Interserve, where people are empowered to make things happen within a clear and strong leadership structure.

“Bringing our UK and International construction and support services businesses together will help us to reduce complexity, support the transfer of people and skills and develop a clear and consistent value proposition for customers wherever they are in the world.”

The changes will take effect from 3 September.
