Keltbray has appointed Jason Gibbons as the new commercial director for its built environment division

Jason Gibbons has extensive experience in the construction industry, having fulfilled a variety of commercial leadership roles for over 30 years in the sector at organisations including Ernest Ireland (Mowlem), Sir Robert McAlpine and most recently, Multiplex.

Gibbons is a chartered quantity surveyor (MRICS), has an MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution, and is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).

He will work closely with Michael O’Hagan, managing director for built environment at Keltbray, and will have a direct reporting line into Peter Suchy, group commercial director.

Gibbons brings commercial leadership specifically to the built environment and will form a close functional relationship with Rob Smith, who holds an equivalent role in the Infrastructure division; as part of the company’s ‘One Keltbray’ strategy to strengthen the rigor applied to both its pre-construction and awarded contracts’ commercial and operational activities.

Delivering high-value engineering solutions

Darren James, chief executive officer at Keltbray said, “I am delighted that Jason is joining Keltbray at this important time for the group, as we progress the implementation of our strategy for sustained growth at pace.

“Jason has an impressive record of strong and collaborative commercial leadership working in a variety of sectors and is highly regarded by our customers, particularly in the built environment arena.

“His experience of major schemes alongside his knowledge of self-delivery will be instrumental in strengthening our ability to deliver high-value engineering solutions that create enhanced value for our stakeholders.”
