NHBC appoints three new regional directors

NHBC has appointed three new regional directors to lead customer relations with builder clients in the North East, West & Wales and Scotland

Succeeding Geoff Egginton, who will be retiring at the end of March after more than 38 years with NHBC, Toby Hollis has been appointed regional director for the North East.

Toby Hollis has a wealth of technical knowledge and customer relationship management experience, having worked as an inspection manager at NHBC and most recently as a workstream leader on the technical risk management project. He will be starting his role in April 2021.

Following Paul Edwards’ promotion to senior regional director in October 2020, Luke Carter has been appointed regional director for West & Wales.

Carter has strong project management and customer relations credentials, having previously held the roles of senior construction quality analyst and building inspector at NHBC. Prior to this, he was project manager at oak frame building company, Oakwrights. Luke will take up his new role on 1 April 2021.

Raymond Baxter has been appointed NHBC regional director for Scotland, succeeding Malcolm MacLeod who will also be retiring at the end of March after more than 20 years with NHBC.

Having most recently held the roles of claims investigator and commercial building control surveyor at NHBC, Raymond also boasts extensive building control experience from his 12 years at North Lanarkshire Council. He will begin his new role on 1 March 2021.

Commenting on the appointments, NHBC commercial director, David Campbell, said: “I am delighted to be welcoming Toby, Luke and Raymond to the regional directors’ team to lead customer relations with our builder clients in the North East, West & Wales and Scotland.

“All three share a wealth of industry knowledge, bringing their own specialist experience and skills. They will work with builder clients to pursue our core purpose of building confidence in the construction quality of new homes.

“With combined careers at NHBC of nearly 60 years, I would also like to take this opportunity to wholeheartedly thank Geoff and Malcolm for their dedication and decades of hard work.

“I have no doubt that they will be much missed by colleagues and clients alike and wish them all the very best for a long and happy retirement.”
