The Surrey-based demolition company Wooldridge Contractors has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators, a month after staff began redundancy consultations

After nearly fifty years in business, Wooldridge Contractors is headed for administration.

Specialising in groundworks, civils and contract build projects, the company has been run by the Wooldridge family since brothers Ian and Graham established it in 1975.

Following Ian’s untimely death in 2010 in a helicopter crash, his son Charlie took over as commercial director, whilst Graham remains as managing director.
