An improved Commercial Property Register has been launched by the city council to help businesses relocate to Exeter

Businesses wishing to move to Exeter will now find it easier due to a new improved Commercial Property Register.

Exeter City Council launched a streamlined version of the database that includes new locations, as well as a range of commercial property facilities.

The register aims to make it easier for businesses to find all available commercial property in the region. This includes office space, industrial units, shops, investment property, hotels, pubs, restaurants, leisure properties and development sites.

More features

The register has been expanded to cover more regions, such as local authorities in East Devon, Teignbridge and Mid Devon.

Furthermore, users will be able to filter results by criteria such as size, location, and when the property will be available.

Exeter City Council’s lead councillor for economy and culture Councillor Rosie Denham said: “The Commercial Property Register has been successfully helping companies to relocate for many years and we hope that the improved register will showcase the fantastic business opportunities that Exeter and the wider area has to offer.

“The new changes we’ve implemented will significantly improve the users experience and allow them to look for new premises in the city centre and further afield.

“Exeter is a thriving city that is proving more and more popular with businesses looking to relocate. Here we can offer a highly-skilled and flexible workforce, excellent and improving transport links, local authorities who go out of their way to support new investment, and of course, stunning countryside like Dartmoor National Park and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.

“Over the years, the team at Invest in Exeter has supported some major relocations to our city including the Met Office relocation from Bracknell in 2003.

“More recently, we’ve seen high-tech companies choose Exeter for their base, including internet of things (IoT) company Dashboard and Media Concepts, an integrated digital solutions provider offering bespoke software.”
