Global construction software provider, Payapps, has launched an innovative new initiative, entitled From Surviving to Thriving, to look at how construction in a post-pandemic world can thrive

Over the past few years, the global economy has seen some of the most disruptive times in history, with the construction sector as susceptible to challenges as other industries.

The From Surviving to Thriving initiative provides a vital platform to support ‘open knowledge sharing’ to help the sector switch from survival gear into thrive mode and lays solid foundations for the sector’s continued success and evolution.

Through a series of video interviews with contractors, consultants and trade organisations along with written Q&As, the Payapps’ From Surviving to Thriving initiative will explore how the sector managed through the pandemic, what lessons were learnt, and what the strategy could be for future success.

Commenting on the initiative Neal Hooks, head of Payapps UK&I, said: “From lockdowns and travel restrictions to supply chain issues, skills shortages, and project suspensions, many contractors across the construction sector have had to adapt and change the way they work and do business.

“However, through these challenges, companies are finding the break from the norm is presenting opportunities to look outside the box and assess their current way of working.”

Payapps survival guide: Thriving construction in a post-pandemic world

As part of its initiative, Payapps has produced a ‘survival guide’ that looks at strategic areas businesses can focus on to help facilitate thriving in a post-pandemic environment.

The guide advises companies to drive efficiencies by accelerating digital adoption; creating operating models around people’s needs; incorporating operating resilience into new operating models; being more agile and adaptable; prioritising and acting on mental health, and identifying new business opportunities to ensure they position themselves for the long term.
