midlands construction company

D Hatcher & Sons is a family-run, forward-thinking East Midlands construction company in Lincolnshire that holds traditional values

The East Midlands construction company has established itself in many niche areas of the industry, with an emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction. We have a wide and varied client base and have built up an interesting portfolio of projects utilising both modern day construction solutions and traditional techniques.

As a company, we are proud of the relationships we have forged within our local district. We have always been proactive in our community and we get involved with many projects that help elevate our towns and local businesses. We are often selected for build and maintenance services to schools, churches and memorial structures. We also work with local councils to make existing homes more accessible for vulnerable tenants by carrying out necessary renovations.

We have invested in quality plant machinery of all sizes, which enables us to carry out heavy work in tight spaces, as well as the larger construction projects. Our machinery is also available for hire with fully trained operators.

At present, we are nearing completion of a development comprising of several three-bed semi-detached houses, which are going to be available on the rental market. With the decline of available family rental properties, this is a project we are very happy to be involved with. All of the properties will benefit from energy-saving solar panels and built to a high level of energy performance.

Carre Heritage

midlands construction company

We are fortunate to have a sister company called Carre Heritage, which has now been trading successfully for 14 years.

Carre Heritage enjoys a strong presence within our home county and our work within the heritage sector takes us much further afield, working on prestigious and protected buildings in and around the UK.

We hold an impressive portfolio of completed projects, all worked upon by our dedicated and heritage skilled tradespeople. The core of the work we do is essential for the preservation of historic buildings and surrounding structures, to aesthetically improving and futureproofing them from environmental wear and tear. We have converted redundant chapels into fabulous and contemporary living dwellings,
renovated neglected and derelict farmhouses and cottages into wonderful, warm family homes, respecting and retaining as much of the original characteristics while incorporating modern and contemporary décor.

Our team are constantly challenged to source materials which closely resemble original features and in many instances trying to preserve and reuse any salvageable material, this having a positive environmental benefit.

Heritage Roofing

We are now offering a specialist roofing division, undertaking roofing projects of all sizes, including remedial and repair works to all major refurbishment projects.

We have worked on listed structures, which involved the careful removal of existing material and reinstalled for water tightness and to prevent further damage.

Our specialist services include for slating, tiling and leadworks. Our projects have involved roofs that have many complex angles, where planning and attention to detail is imperative.

In recent times, we invested in the installation of a modern joinery workshop, which runs on renewable energy, and we have an excellent in-house team of skilled craftsmen that can process raw materials to create all manner of bespoke items.

Legado Bespoke Joinery

Our workshop trades as Legado Bespoke Joinery and complements the activities of both D Hatcher & Son and Carre Heritage providing structural solutions and also mindfully replicating existing joinery features from eras gone by, such as gothic arch window frames and medieval gates with befitting ironmongery.

A recent project we completed involved manufacturing and fitting bespoke oak panelling to the interior of a Grade II listed hall. From specially selected raw oak material that required storing for a length of time in our workshop to acclimatise before machining could commence. Prior to that, all the elements, such as the pelmet, skirting, dado and panel mouldings, were machined out of demo timber in order to rehearse the fit.

The installation had to be carried out with great care to ensure all the elements came together with precision, while creating a visually satisfying and structurally sound build. At all times, we were very conscious of the need to be very careful with the existing fabric of the hall.

The project involved a great amount of tenacity, precision and attention to detail with a methodically sound plan of action.

In all areas of our business, we work closely with our clients to ensure that we have met or exceeded their expectations on project completion.
