Restore Compliance is celebrating its nomination for Best Newcomer at The Grafters Group Awards, marking another exciting milestone for the growing building control consultancy.
Founded by co-owners Kate Morement and Jen Barrett, Restore Compliance was established with a clear ambition: to do things differently in building control, putting integrity, people and building safety at the heart of everything it does.
Since launching in July 2025, the business has grown significantly, building a team of experienced Registered Building Inspectors and investing in the next generation of professionals entering the industry.
The nomination recognises the hard work that has gone into establishing Restore as a trusted provider of building control services, while challenging traditional approaches and demonstrating that compliance can be about much more than simply ticking boxes.

“When we started Restore, we had a laptop, a lot of determination and a very clear idea of the kind of business we wanted to build. We wanted to create something that put people first, stood by its values and showed that building control could be delivered differently.
“To now be recognised in this way is a huge moment for us. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved so far, but none of it would be possible without our team, our clients and the people who have backed us along the way.
“We are still a relatively young business, and we know there is plenty more to do. This nomination gives us another reason to celebrate how far we have come.”
