BoKlok UK acquires three sites for sustainable homes

BoKlok UK Ltd, the sustainable home provider jointly owned by Skanska and IKEA, has announced the exchange of contracts on its first three developments

BoKlok homes are completed using modern methods of construction. This enables high quality, low and predictable costs and minimum waste.

The completed homes are manufactured offsite and feature high quality IKEA fittings. They are then transported to the construction site for assembly.

Most of the homes will be for market sale, while a portion will be sold to local authorities and housing associations, to be part of their social housing schemes.

Three developments

The company’s first three development sites, across the south and south west of England, are in Worthing, Bristol and Peacehaven.


The partnership have worked with Worthing Council to deliver up to 162 affordable ‘flat-pack homes.’ They later announced plans to develop 200 homes in south Bristol with Bristol City Council.

Together, these sites will provide around 400 homes, subject to planning permission.
