Morgan Sindall Construction has been awarded lots on a major construction framework for Hampshire County Council, worth a total of £200m

The Hampshire Construction Framework (HCF) has been established to provide new build construction and related infrastructure works, including extension and renovation, for a full range of public sector buildings including schools, fire stations and NHS organisations.

The company is one of four contractors assigned to deliver projects over the next four years across Hampshire, Berkshire and the Isle of Wight.

Construction-only projects will be appointed directly by the council to contractors on a rotational basis, with design and build projects appointed subject to a competitive bid process between partners. The first phase of work is expected to be tendered through the HCF immediately.

Cliff Kinch, Fareham area director for Morgan Sindall Construction, said: “We are extremely pleased to have been appointed to Hampshire County Council’s new framework and are looking forward to working closely with them to deliver projects.”

The win comes months after Morgan Sindall Construction was awarded a place on the Southern Construction Framework (SCF4), an initiative by Hampshire County Council and Devon County Council, worth £5.25bn overall, which came into operation on 22 April 2019 and will run for four years.
