Financial Conduct Authority launches Interserve investigation

Interserve is under investigation by the Financial Conduct Authority over the company’s handling of inside information and market disclosures

In a statement to investors, Interserve said it had been referred to the FCA‘s Enforcement Division over its exited energy-from-waste business between 15 July 2016 and 20 February 2017.

The company will cooperate fully with the investigation and will update the market on the outcome in due course,” the statement read.

Interserve delivers consultancy, design, construction, equipment, facilities management and frontline public services.

The FTSE-listed company has gross revenues of around £3.6bn and employs 80,000 people worldwide.
