Kitchen manufacturers invited to apply for LHC K7 framework

LHC invites kitchen manufacturers to apply for a new four-year framework to supply kitchens and associated products to the public sector

The Supply of Kitchen Units and Worktops (K7) framework from LHC will cover all public sector projects in England, Wales and Scotland.

It will allow local authorities and social landlords to deliver complete kitchen services including cabinets, worktops and associated products, such as energy rated appliances and impaired mobility options.

Public buildings

The framework will be used by local authorities to procure products for all types of public buildings and buildings managed using public funding.

Manufacturers will be supplying a diverse range of projects such as low, medium and high-rise residential homes, including those housing vulnerable people; shared ownership properties; care homes and sheltered accommodation.

The scope will also cover commercial kitchens, allowing local authorities and social landlords to deliver complete kitchen services across their portfolios, not only for dwellings but also commercial facilities such as those in schools, hospitals, offices and a wide range of municipal buildings such as museums or sports halls.

‘Diverse range of products’

Dean Fazackerley, LHC’s head of technical procurement, said:

“LHC is looking for manufacturers and suppliers of domestic and commercial kitchens who can deliver a diverse range of products that address the requirements of the contracting authorities, and who can also provide a complete solution.

“From developing the client brief and design concepts, through to resident liaison, delivery and after sales service, manufacturers need to offer a full design service as well as delivering a high-quality end product, manufactured from certified sustainably sourced materials.”

This framework sits alongside the LHC specialist elemental frameworks for Windows and Doors (WD2) and Communal Doors, Entrance Doors and Associated Products (C8).

Pre-tender webinar

LHC will be holding a pre-tender webinar for manufacturers and contractors on Thursday 13 January at 11am, as well as one-to-one briefings throughout January.

The sessions will provide an overview of the proposed framework and will give interested parties the opportunity to feedback on the framework before its scope and structure are finalised.

To register interest on the K7 framework, the briefing webinar or one to-one sessions, visit LHC Group’s Proactis page.
