Organisers of Concrete Expo, the UK’s most innovative exhibition for the concrete industry, have announced a host of exciting new features at this year’s show

The two-day event returns to London’s ExCeL from May 8-9 and will include a Live BIM for Concrete Interactive Visitor Experience; technical advice clinic; and a new dedicated area for testing, repair and reinforcement.

Concrete Expo will once again showcase an impressive selection of concrete products, equipment and services exhibitors, making it the UK’s biggest dedicated concrete showcase.

Market-leading companies are already confirmed include PERI, Tyrolit, Multiquip Baylynx, McCrory, Camfaud Concrete Pumps and Screening Eagle.

A popular feature of Concrete Expo, the Main Show Theatre will feature a busy programme of talks and discussions looking at the latest technology solutions, with topics including:

  • Can concrete be sustainable? Technologies tackling the CO2 challenge
  • The use of carbon fibre in today’s construction industry
  • Design as a service: capturing your product logic in KOPE
  • The importance in appointing a waterproofing expert

Supported by The Concrete Society, Concrete Expo is once again co-located with UK Construction Week London and The Offsite Show, as well as the UK’s premier event for the self-build sector, Grand Designs Live.

The stand-alone, two-day concrete event will be of interest to anyone who buys or specifies concrete, products or solutions – including engineers, general contractors, architects, designers, planners, surveyors and local authorities, alongside the more traditional concrete contractor, in an audience of over 5,000 construction professionals.

Offering two days of innovation and specialist insight, the show will be packed with concrete technology and concrete equipment, with a wide-ranging selection of concrete and associated product categories including admixtures; aggregates; BIM design software; cement; concrete repair and restoration; screeds and mortars; decorative concrete; diamond drilling; saw; fixings & fastenings; floors; surface prep & finishing tools; formwork; falsework & form liners; mixing & batching; precast production equipment; reinforcement; trucks; volumetric mixers & pumps; and waterproofing.

UKCW London is complemented by its sister event, UKCW Birmingham, which takes place at the NEC from October 1-3.

The NEC was the birthplace of UK Construction Week in 2015 and the trade show has grown to become the UK’s largest built environment event. Details on the Birmingham programme of events and speakers will be announced in due course, but exhibition space is already filling up – to enquire for your business, contact Info@ukconstructionweek.com
