Hemsec’s new manufacturing hub, based in Huyton, has begun production. The hub will enable the company to push ahead toward their goal of enabling zero carbon construction

Hemsec’s investment in a second hub will also enable the company to significantly increase their SIPs output, whilst also increasing capacity for steel insulated panel manufacture at the existing Rainhill facility.

Alongside the investment in the new hub, Hemsec has also invested in new equipment and process automation to increase capacity and give customers even more flexibility in lead times. This expansion will also deliver value-added services and develop our offering to support customer and industry needs further.

Hemsec was established in Liverpool in 1928, and since then has been committed to providing local jobs and investing in the community.

It was essential for the company to be established in the Liverpool City Region. The new hub is just a ten-minute drive from the existing premises in Rainhill and is just minutes from both the M62 and M57.

The hub will provide more manufacturing space and create jobs for local people

Stephen Painter, CEO commented: “After a very uncertain period with Covid, we are incredibly proud to have doubled our production, meaning we are now at capacity at our existing Rainhill location. Our new 84,000 sq. ft manufacturing hub allows us to continue providing our customers with high-quality products while driving the business forward.

This new facility will not only provide more manufacturing space but also create more jobs for local people. We are passionate about supporting local communities as well as supporting the industries we work in; with this investment, we hope to provide a space for sharing knowledge and best practice to support the future of the MMC market. We look forward to welcoming guests at the new hub very soon!”
